This is an archive of the Dadamac.net website, as it was in 2015, it is no longer being updated.

Written by Pamela: I think I first e-met Helmut through Mincius Sodas. Certainly I e-met Helmut, Franz Nahrada and Andrius Kulikauskas around the same time. It was some years ago, probably around the time that I was experimenting with an implementation of Moodle which I'd called "Cawdnet Campus" - perhaps around 2006 or 2007.

Later Cawdnet morphed into Dadamac and in 2008 my experimentations were moving from Moodle to  Drupal. By then Helmut and I had discoverd a shared interest in pattern language - but from very different levels of expertise.

In early 2009 I was trying to clarify various things in my own mind about the way Dadamac was emerging and how I should best try to shape it.  (Everything I have done in connection with UK-NIgeria collaboration has been done in an "emergent way" - ever since Peter Adetunji Oyawale first got me invovled.)

Helmut helped me to "get unstuck" with Dadamac by offering his knowledge of pattern-language as a framework, and then giving me his time for regular weekly sessions of thinking things through.
