I also connect her name with the Kenya-based project GRASSUP NOW, which stands for "Grassroots Underpinnings: Poverty alleviation, Nutrition, ODL/ICTs, Women.and KAIPPG (www.kaippg.org)
She helped lay the foundations of Dadamac - long before it emerged as Dadamac - by introducing me to Lorraine Duff.
There are many things I admire about Janet (including her encouragement, enabling and ability to pour oil on troubled waters) all of which are best discovered and appreciated by joining one of her online groups and reading her emails.
