Fast Tractor update.
I have some wonderful news to start the New Year. The "Fast Tractor" tractor is earning its keep and starting to pay for its initial investment. I've checked the bank balance for Dadamac Foundation (umbrella organisation for Fast Tractor). We have a repayment of £500, which has come from the committee at Fantsuam which is managing the use of the tractor.
Originally John Dada simply wanted to borrow money to purchase the tractor, and Steve Podmore wanted to organise some kind of impact investment arrangement to help - but time was short and it was too complicated to set something up at such short notice. Instead Steve initiated an intensive fundraising effort through Dadamac Foundation.
We raised around £5,000 but needed well over £7,000 for John to arrange the purchase, so we borrowed the extra money. It is wonderful to see that the tractor is earning its keep and this first repayment has been made. Future repayments will first be used to repay what we owe, and then we will be able to recycle the money into more impact investments.
Congratulations to all concerned and many thanks to everyone who has made this possible.
